Perched high above Corralitos on the ocean facing side of the Santa Cruz Mountains, surrounded by redwoods and cut by a year round creek, Deer Ridge Trail produces an incredible old world expression of Pinot Noir. This marks my third vintage here. The fruit was hand picked October 17th.

From RobertParker.com: "Fermented with 25% whole clusters and tasted as a barrel sample, the 2023 Pinot Noir Deer Ridge Trail Vineyard hails from a high-elevation block atop this Corralitos site. The nose is fragrant and red-fruited, showing coniferous aromas of redwood duff, moss and bright spices. The palate shows excellent poise, energy and clarity, concluding with an understated, deft finish framed by a subtly upright structure and posture."

Aged in 1/3 new French Oak, alcohol 13%, unfiltered. 72 cases made.
